Restaurant Seven Seas
Dining in the Scheepvaarthuis is a delight. Magnificent marble, warm wooden floors and stained-glass decorations create a lavish setting in our Seven Seas Restaurant in Amsterdam. Our staff ensures that everything runs smoothly, leaving you to enjoy your meal and your table companions to the full.
Our menu is French in character, with a distinct maritime influence. Our enthusiastic chef and his kitchen team do all they can to please you. If you have any special (dietary) wishes that are not on the menu, please bring them to our attention. Our restaurant manager and his team will ensure you have everything you could possibly need. All of us are here to let you dine in style in ‘a world of luxury and art’.
For special occasions – business or personal – you can dine with us in private. We offer a number of special function rooms for such occasions and will help you choose the room and menu that best meet your wishes.
At the very heart of our hotel is the bar lounge, the perfect spot for an informal appointment. Here you can enjoy a cup of coffee, a lunch or a light meal. The mood is always convivial around apéritif time. The authentic details of
the Scheepvaarthuis, the views of the Amsterdam canals, and the fine beers from the tap make the bar a vibrant venue.
A walking dinner at the Grand Hotel Amrâth Amsterdam is a unique experience full of discoveries. There is no better way to experience ‘the world of luxury and art’ inside Scheepvaarthuis with your guests, with a glass in your hand and your plate nearby. We serve each course of the meal in a different space. Along your route, you have all the time you need to marvel at the exuberant Amsterdam School interior with its many details. We are on hand to tell you the history of the Scheepvaarthuis. Our chef ensures that the dishes are easy to manage so that you and your guests can concentrate on enjoying yourselves.
A popular scenario starts with a welcome and entrée beneath our breathtaking stained-glass sky. If the weather is fine, you can enjoy an entremets on the roof terrace with a view across the city, your main course in our Seven Seas restaurant, and your dessert in the wine cellar. And we also take in the paternosters that we’re so proud of, since only two buildings in Amsterdam still possess such lifts.
Walking dinners are available for groups of 10 and more. The number of courses served is variable. Ask for a price estimate by calling us on
0031 (0)20 5520 552 or e-mail us.
