You are welcome for dinner in our restaurant Seven Seas from 18:00 to 22:30 hours.
Our Bar/lounge is opened from 09:00 to 01:00 hours. On Friday and Saturday until 02:00 hours. Here you can have an informal bite or a small lunch.
For special occasions, business dinners and private events, it is possible to arrange a private dinner. All the private dining rooms are special and the dishes and menus can be adapted to suit the personal wishes of the guests.

Asparagus
From the 14th of April the Asparagus season is officially opened. Our chef has created delicious dishes such as a cappuccino of asparagus with Dutch shrimps. A lukewarm salmon with Dutch asparagus, butter sauce, lamb ears and samphire. And at last but not least a Texel lamb with asparagus, confit garlic sauce and spring vegetables.
Until the 24th of June we serve these special dishes with the white gold.
Herring
On Wednesday the 6th of June the herring season starts. For the real guests who love fish a day to look forward too. A Dutch herring stand is placed in the hotel lobby of Grand Hotel Amrâth Amsterdam to give all guests the opportunity to taste this typical Dutch fish. For those guests who love herring our chef composed a delicious salad called “Salade Maatjes”. This salad includes herring, radishes, celery, Granny Smith apple, red union and sourdough bread.
The salad is available in the Bar/Lounge from the 6th of June until the 30th of June.
Mussels
They are here again! Finally we can enjoy from the mussels from Zeeland. These mussels are served with freshly made fries, a salad and homemade mayonnaise.
The mussels will be served from the 15th of July until the 15th of August.

Niels van den Berg is our Amsterdam hotel’s restaurant manager of Seven Seas; personal service and perfection are the motives of Niels's team.
Beautiful marble, wooden floors and stained glass decorations give you the ideal ambiance. You will hear the sound of animated conversations and enjoy the optimal harmony of elegant dishes created from pure products and specially selected wines. Bar / Lounge
A warm welcome in the heart of our Amsterdam luxury hotel. You can enjoy a freshly brewed espresso, light lunch, High tea or canapés, comfortably seated in one of the lovely chairs. Our Bar/lounge is an ideal spot for an informal get together. Authentic features of the Shipping House, candlelight and lively conversations complete the ambiance.
French Breakfast
Do you have little time or you have not that such large appetite in the morning? From 09:00 AM to 12:00 noon we serve French breakfast in our Bar/Lounge. A baguette with ham or cheese, egg to your choice, croissant or chocolatine, orange juice and coffee or tea for €13.50.

Breakfast is served in our restaurant Seven Seas. At your request you can have breakfast served in your room or suite. Just let us know your wishes the evening before.
Full American Breakfast buffet - € 25.00
Enjoy different sorts of bread, rolls and croissants, a selection of meat, fish, cheese and sweet sandwich filling. We offer a wide variety of warm items, dairy products and fresh fruit. Besides coffee, tea and milk we serve different fresh fruit juices or a delicious glass of Méthode Traditionelle.

A french breakfast is also served in our Bar / Lounge.
High Tea
An afternoon enjoying the fancy assortment of loose leaf tea from Pure Tea, served with delicious sweet and savoury delights in the ambience of the Scheepvaarthuis. Grand Hotel Amrâth Amsterdam’s High Tea is sublime in many ways. Be surprised by our chef’s English High Tea, for € 32.50 per person. Reservations are necessary.

Walking Dinner
A walking dinner at Grand Hotel Amrâth Amsterdam is a special and unique experience. By combining the special architecture and atmosphere with a culinary dinner you will have an evening you will never forget.
During a walking dinner you and your guests will experience every course in another unique environment of the hotel. There are several options for this walking dinner, imagine yourself under a stained glass rooftop in the Van Der Mey hall while having your first course. If the weather permits we can serve the second course on the rooftop with view over the city and finish with dessert in the wine vault. You will experience the unique pater noster elevators, only 2 buildings in Amsterdam have these elevators in working order and we love to share this with you.
During the dinner you will have the time to see, taste and watch the history of this monumental building “het Scheepvaarthuis”.
