Despite their fame, it takes a bit more effort to track down tulips in the streets and gardens of Amsterdam nowadays. But there can never be enough tulips, and so, each spring, the festival celebrates the famous flower and ensures it blooms all over Amsterdam. On Saturday 21st of April the 'Expedition Oosterdok' will be held to discover the Oosterdok district. Several activities will be organized, such as via the archi tour or from the open boat.

King's Day is a national holiday in the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Celebrated on 27 April (26 April if the 27th is a Sunday), the date marks the birth of King Willem-Alexander. Amsterdam colors orange on King's Day. The city offers the best outdoor festivities for young and old, on the street, the canals and in the parks. Head to the Open Air Theatre in Amsterdam's Vondelpark to catch summertime performances from children's acts, classical presentations or the latest Dutch or international pop performer.
